Graduation was yesterday. Was very hot but went well. The party afterwards was a lot fun. Plenty of food, family, and friends. Celebrating Mother's Day today, watching the Celtics, and going to basketball later on. Can't quite relax, still feel like I have something left to do, yet I don't. So I'm sitting here, it's a little after 1am, and I realized I hadn't updated this blog in quite some time. I just wrapped up my studies at the University, and am graduating officially in 2 days. It's going to be a busy weekend. The weather is nice now so we've been able to get some basketball going, which is always good. I also just wrapped up a number of projects for work so expect those to be posted in the Web Design section later tonight. I guess I am now "summer vacation" even though I'm really not, because I need to ideally start working ASAP. I have been pretty busy with school and work lately so it feels good to be on spring break. Just got back from a road trip to visit Jon in D.C. Had a great time, wish it could have been longer. Today is my 22nd birthday, and what is the main event? Homework. Yup, I have enough to get done today to last my the next few days, so I should probably stop wasting time on here. I thought my last semester of college was supposed to be a breeze? Here is some complaining: I washed and cleaned out my car Saturday after 2 weeks of sunshine (assuming more good weather was to come). Wrong. Woke up today to 10 inches on the ground with means the roads will be nothing but dirt and my car will be covered with mud and salt by the end of the day. Anyways, going to go chip into the pile of work but I will take a break later to go out to a birthday dinner and then have some incredible cake. How about some Gaffigan to wrap this up? Break has been flying by, a lot quicker than I would like. Heading to pick up a pizza right now and go to a poker game. More work packing my schedule for the last week and a half of break, my side jobs are keeping me busy. Also trying to roll out some updates to my website before the end of break. Oh yeah, how could I forget, tomorrow is New Year's Eve. Plans are still up the air for tomorrow night, expect an update around New Year's Day. Gifts, lots of food, movies, and a Laker's loss. Great Christmas all around. Woke up, had breakfast, waited for gram to get here, then opened gifts. I enjoyed seeing everyone open what I got them as well as getting a few of my own. I ended up with a new computer desk, 2 terabyte external hard drive, and some movies. I spent the afternoon putting the desk together, and clearing out the old one with my brother. After that, had a big turkey dinner with the family. Now everything is winding down and we're all relaxing. I am finishing up putting some stuff together and I will hook up the HD shortly. Merry Christmas Eve (well it's actually Christmas now that I am posting this around 1am, but I digress). I should be wrapping gifts right now, but am listening to Kelsey's Christmas gift and watching 24 hours of A Christmas Story instead (operative word being should). Tomorrow is the week before Christmas. Went to two Christmas parties this past weekend, caught up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while, and hung out with family. Tire rotation, oil change, gas up, car wash, and gift shopping tomorrow should make for a hectic day, but it's nice to not have schoolwork to do. Christmas festivities on Friday, then New Year's and it's back to work. Plenty to do before Spring Semester commences in January. Will update later this week closer to Christmas itself. I noticed I hadn't updated in a while so here we go. The semester is basically over. I have a couple finals next week, but after those I will be done. I can't believe I'm past it considering the mountains of schoolwork I had over this fall semester (particularly the past few weeks). I've got a few Christmas parties I'm heading to next weekend which should be a good time. Haven't begun any gift shopping yet, but I usually put that off until pretty late. I have a number of projects to work on over break, both client and scholastic, which will keep my busy until we go back for the spring semester in January. Actually now looking at it, it won't even feel like a vacation with the amount of work I have planned. I just realized I haven't updated in a while. I have one more day of classes tomorrow, then Thanksgiving break. I am looking forward to heading up north with the family. Not sure yet if I am going to be heading out for Black Friday madness, but I should know Thursday (I will probably make a post from up north then). The semester will only have a few weeks left after break, but those few weeks will be heavy crunch time. I have some plans for some new stuff to work on over Christmas break, and I should be adding some more content to the portfolio section then too.
